How did Lone Tree Land Company get it's name?
It was always our intent to work for ourselves when we first got into the real estate business. After working for two other brokers over a three year + period we knew it was time to do our own thing.
First off, the fun part was picking a name and designing a logo. Derrell found the Lone Tree portion of the name when we visited a rest stop north of Baker City, OR. It is actually the Lone Tree Rest Stop. He was reading the Oregon History kiosk and found a story about the Lone Tree on the Oregon Trail. Peggy came up with the Land Company portion of the name from an out-of-state business name she had seen previously.
We then searched high & low for just the right tree for the logo. Next came the wording underneath the logo and a tag line.....Making Friends One Client at a Time..........which fit our business philosophy perfectly.
And for the final touch Peggy added the beautiful moon to the logo and Lone Tree Land Company was born!!
We built an addition onto the back on our home and opened our first office in April of 2005. As agents started joining our team we expanded and opened our second office in Council, ID.
